Gastech Exhibition & Conference

Now entering its 40th year, the 2017 Gastech exhibition and conference is scheduled to take place in Japan from 4-7 April. The Asian nation will host the largest edition of the event to date as 25,000 attendees, more than 600 exhibitors and 2,500 delegates gather alongside commercial experts and technical innovators from the up, mid and downstream energy sectors to discover new ideas, explore innovative solutions and build profitable business connections.

The event will also play host to the gathering of the Super Majors, the six largest global energy companies; an extremely rare occurrence.

The four-day conference programme – which has been validated and endorsed by the Gastech Governing Body which consists of 41 leading industry stakeholders – will cover a range of topics that will provide business-changing insights to both commercial and technical audiences. Conference sessions will explore a variety of themes, including: How Energy Firms can Successfully Develop People & Projects for their Customers; The Global LNG Market in 2025; Carbon Reduction, Capture & Storage; and also LNG Shipping – Ship Design & Build.

Gastech 2017 is proud to have the support of the Japan Gastech Consortium, a collaboration of 10 Japanese companies from a range of disciplines. These 10 host companies – JERA, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co., Tokyo Gas, INPEX Corporation, ITOCHU Corporation, Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd (JAPEX), JX Nippon Oil & Energy, Marubeni Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation – collectively play a significant role in determining energy security, supply and establishing policy to secure Japan’s long-term economic future.

Gavin Sutcliffe, Head of Content, for Gastech states: “Japan is at the forefront of the global energy market, so it is a privilege to be able to host the Gastech exhibition and conference here.”

To enhance the attendee experience, Gastech will be operating a complimentary service – the Global Meetings Service (GMS). The pre-event service will allow attendees to use their business criteria to specify what their business objectives at Gastech are, allowing all attendees to search, connect and pre-arrange meetings with each other. These meetings will be facilitated by the GMS team during the event.
