2016 is Malaysia’s Commercialisation Year

Over the past few years, M.LAB has been gaining recognition as a reputable laboratory show in Malaysia. This year, the event will take place on 31 May – 2 June, 2016 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, as part of the BIOMALAYSIA & ASIA PACIFIC BIOECONOMY 2016.

Asia is currently the leading destination for corporate research and development (R&D), boasting an increase in imported spends of 79 percent and 116 percent between 2007 and 2015, as more technological innovation progresses in the region. Calling 2016 the “Malaysia Commercialisation Year”, the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry is planning to produce 360 new products to be commercialised by 2020. From multinationals to SMEs, more players are now setting up in-house laboratories to obtain ultimate accuracy in measurement, testing and analysis of their products and services to meet international standards such as ISO 9000. Together with the mushrooming of R&D centres in public and private sectors, the demand for laboratories is poised for rapid growth.

Organised by Sphere Exhibits, M.LAB 2016 caters to the growing demand for laboratory equipment in the oil & gas, chemical, biotechnology, life science, food and beverage, health and manufacturing sectors. It is a highly focused exhibition bringing key decision-makers and users from the lab industry and R&D centres. M.LAB 2016 is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MOSTI) and Standards Malaysia as recognition of its contribution to the R&D industry.

As one of Malaysia’s premier exhibitions on laboratory instrumentation, equipment, automation and services, M.LAB 2016 acts as a business platform with great branding and networking opportunities, where industry players can stay ahead with the knowledge and exposure of new products and technologies on display. Industries covered include: academia, institutes of higher learning, automotive, biogas, biomass, biotechnology, environmental services, food and beverages, ICT, life sciences, nanotechnology, non-petroleum chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical, regulatory bodies, R&D, rubber and plastics, and water & waste management
