Oracle and Oracle NetSuite have introduced Oracle NetSuite Restaurant Operations, a new AI-powered solution designed to help restaurants and hospitality businesses improve efficiency and profitability by centralising key back-office functions.

AI-powered restaurant operations platform targets efficiency and profitability

Powered by NetSuite’s AI-powered business system, the platform unifies inventory, procurement, scheduling, production, and cash management data in a single system. The solution is designed to provide real-time visibility, actionable insights, and scalable workflows to support restaurant growth and innovation.

The new platform is designed to address increasing operational pressures faced by restaurant and hospitality businesses, particularly the need to streamline operations while maintaining high customer service standards.

“Restaurant and hospitality leaders are under pressure to drive operational efficiencies and do more with less, while delivering an exceptional customer experience,” said Alex Alt, executive vice president and general manager, Oracle Commercial Cloud Applications. “Restaurant Operations brings together deep industry-specific expertise, leading technology, and data management in a unified platform with AI-enhanced workflows. With these AI-powered capabilities, restaurant and hospitality leaders can optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and unlock rapid innovation at scale in their Oracle Simphony Cloud or multi-point-of-sale (POS) environments.”

Unified back-office technology for modern restaurant management

The platform brings together multiple operational systems into a single environment, helping restaurant operators simplify complex back-office processes.

Restaurant Operations consolidates data from Oracle Simphony Cloud and other point-of-sale systems, providing hospitality businesses with a centralised view of key performance indicators (KPIs), operational trends, and reporting.

This unified approach gives restaurant operators a single source of truth across operational and financial data, helping support decision-making and business performance.

AI automation and analytics improve restaurant decision-making

The system includes embedded AI capabilities designed to automate repetitive tasks and deliver insights across restaurant operations.

AI-driven analysis provides insights and recommendations that help organisations identify trends and make predictions in areas such as inventory management. These tools are intended to support more informed operational decisions while reducing manual workload.

“Restaurants have traditionally relied on a patchwork of systems to manage inventory, purchasing, finance, and other critical processes,” said Brian Chess, senior vice president of AI, product, and technology, Oracle NetSuite. “Restaurant Operations brings the power of Oracle and NetSuite together in a unified solution with AI embedded across workflows to help automate routine tasks and surface operational trends. By connecting operational and financial data in one system, businesses gain real-time visibility into performance across locations, reduce complexity, and make faster, more informed decisions.”

Scalable restaurant technology for startups to global franchises

Built on more than 25 years of Oracle and NetSuite hospitality and restaurant financial best practices experience, the platform is designed to support restaurants of varying sizes, from single-location startups to global franchise operations.

The system enables Oracle Simphony Cloud customers to improve accuracy, operational speed, and employee productivity through an enhanced user interface, improved materials control and inventory tools, and AI-powered capabilities designed to handle repetitive processes.

Global rollout planned for Oracle NetSuite Restaurant Operations

Oracle NetSuite Restaurant Operations is expected to become available to customers globally within the next 12 months.

The platform will support localisation in more than 110 countries, 190 currencies, and 27 languages, enabling restaurant and hospitality organisations worldwide to adopt the system.
