Enhancing Future Readiness through Cutting-Edge SMART Solutions for Facilities Management

Catering to the growing demand for facilities management services across Asia, SMART Facilities Management Solutions Expo and Conference 2016, the region’s leading exhibition of its kind, returns for its third year in 2016.

Held at Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore, from 26 to 28 April, the event will showcase cutting-edge and emerging technologies such as the advent of SMART technology and key building solutions. These developments are revolutionising facilities management, such as ensuring operational continuity, managing the increasing complexity of buildings, merging legacy buildings and their systems with facilities expansions, energy management systems, maintaining aging infrastructure and improving reporting and compliance in an integrated facilities management environment.

Organised by Sphere Exhibits, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, with the support of key industry players across the region, the three-day trade show will feature some 80 exhibitors and is expected to draw 3,000 attendees.

Running alongside the trade show will be the Facilities Management Conference held on 27 to 28 April 2016. Co-organised with Singapore Institute of Building Limited, the eagerly anticipated conference will address the challenges and future of smart facilities management, and give insights into how facilities management can be transformed through the effective and productive use of resources and smart innovation.

Touching on these new innovations, Chua Wee Phong, Chairman of Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd, said: “Rapid developments in integrated technologies have a profound impact in the ecosystem where mission critical, infrastructure, building, transport and public facilities as well as leisure and tourism facilities are introduced in providing a seamless experience to better cope with increased regulatory, environmental, social and bottom line demands. SMART Facilities Management Solutions Expo and Conference aims to deliver the latest technological breakthroughs and industry insights from the world’s leading experts in the areas of key solutions, energy management and security solutions. This year, we are happy to further expand the conference parameters to further address the sector’s evolving trends in the region.”

With market revenues of global building energy management solutions forecasted to grow at a CAGR of around 19 percent from 2013 to 2018, the conference and trade platform will play a key role in a one-stop focused environment empowering suppliers, end users and professionals to network, exchange knowledge, share best practices and stay updated on the latest industry needs for future readiness, advice on all aspects of the aftercare and maintenance of facilities, and background in design and construction in the built environment sector.

The SMART Facilities Management Solutions conference and trade platform aim to advance the integration of SMART solutions in the facilities management ecosystem into the entire value chain of social, transport, recreational and mission-critical facilities.

The event is expected to play host some 3,000 industry professionals including architects, building, facility and asset managers, energy, HVAC security engineers, urban planners, township/municipality service providers, developers, investors as well as aftercare/maintenance service providers to name a few.

The trade show will further incorporate four key segments in energy management, security Solutions and air conditioning & mechanical ventilation (ACMV) and environmental management, making it the most comprehensive and focused trade platform in redefining SMART facilities management.
